Work Package 1: Industrial case studies and demonstrators

Description: This work package will drive and evaluate the model-based testing technologies that will be provided by work packages 2 and 3. From the point of view of different industrial case study domains requirements on the methods and tools to be provided in this project will be specified. WP2 and WP3 will use these requirements as input for their development work. After the provision of the technologies WP1 will evaluate whether these technologies yield in a measurable benefit when applied to model-based testing in the different application domains. WP1 will give continuous feedback to WP2 and WP3 by refining its requirements and therefore driving the continuous improvement of the technologies. In this sense this work package will not only drive and evaluate the work of the technology providers in the project but also measure the final success of the whole project. Real-life industrial demonstrators will be built up for all case study domains to demonstrate the added value of the new technologies within the application domains. All demonstrators will be shown in exhibitions.

The industrial case studies will be the following:

  • Automotive case study driven by DC, supported by FH IESE, FH FOKUS, INSPIRE
  • Industrial automation case study driven by ABB, supported by iXtronics
  • Manufacturing equipment case study driven by TRIMEK, supported by SORALUCE, DATAPIXEL, Ideko, and Innovalia Association
  • Telecommunication case study driven by Nokia Siemens Networks
  • Telecommunication case study driven by ETSI
  • Telecommunication case study driven by Tandberg
  • City street light case study driven by Eliko
