The MOTES Work-flow Method in Street Lighting Controller Case Study

Elvior and Tallinn University of Technology applied the MOTES Work-flow method that integrates UML case tool, test generator and the TTCN-3 test tool.

Extended Finite State Machine is used to model the behavior of SUT using third-party UML case tool supporting XMI export.
Test data and system configuration is defined in TTCN-3.
Test coverage is defined by structural elements of the SUT model.
Test generator MOTES generates logical tests from the given SUT model, coverage criteria and data resources, and renders the tests in TTCN-3.
Generated tests are executed by TTCN-3 test development and test execution tool MessageMagic.
