Model-Driven TEST EngineR

MD-TESTER is a prototype implementation of the pattern-oriented model-driven testing approach, using the Unified Test Modeling Language (UTML). UTML is a UML-Test Profile (UTP) compliant notation designed in D-MINT to support Model-Driven Testing (MDT).
MD-TESTER makes test modelling accessible to technically and non-technically skilled people through a visual notation specifically tailored for that purpose. The test models are designed at a high level of abstraction and can be transformed automatically into any (test scripting) notation for the purpose of test execution (automatic/manual) or for documentation. Supported back-ends are TTCN-3, JUnit, XML, HTML. MD-TESTER XMI-Support facilitates tool integration in existing product and test software development infrastructure.
Ready for process integration: MD-TESTER supports APIs to facilitate integration with requirements management (DOORS, SysML) and bug-tracking systems (Bugzilla, Mantis,...) to ensure integrated 2-ways test cases-to- requirements traceability. Reverse engineering of existing test scripts (e.g. TTCN-3) into UTML with MD-TESTER enhance their understandability and facilitates their reuse.
